The Final: 15th July 2008
The final was played as a mini-league. No more matchups. Congratulations: Splittergruppe The final finished as follows:
Splittergruppe are the third team in the three years of the Pub Quiz to become champions, following The Green Monster in 2006 and The Libertines in 2007. A stunning final round saw them leapfrog over the leaders and favourites (The Green Monster) and pip them on the finish line by a single point. It was the first time on the night of the quiz the Green Monster hadn't been leading! In fourth were I See Zombies; fifth after a shocker on the Blockbusters - Where Is My Mind?; and finally N.A.R.F. completed the line-up, after amazingly making the final, despite being knocked out in the quarter-finals. A big thank you to all the teams that took part this year - I think we all had fun!
